Sir Edmund Hillary's Rolex (for Philipp S ;-) 海外錶展
After the developments surrounding the withdrawal from sale of Sir Edmund Hillary's collection of Rolex watches at Antiquorum in Geneva last week, very few lucky people got to actually see the watches. I was one of the unlucky ones, but I came back from Geneva with a little detour so I could see one important Rolex watch owned by the famous explorer.

In Zurich, under the Beyer jewellery store on Bahnofstrasse, there is a small but interesting museum celebrating time-keeping down the years. And in a little glass case containing assorted wristwatches, is Hillary's actual Rolex Oyster from the Everest expedition.

Now this one would break records if it ever hit the open market, but I think it's in safe hands!

There are a few other watches with a crown on the dial...
